Charter Flights

Fast, safe and reliable air transport is greatly appreciated by many organisations for whom the only other option is slow overland travel on poor and often dangerous roads, which can be demanding on both passengers and vehicles.

A typical road journey between Dili and Suai on the south coast can take anywhere from 6-10 hours; a whole day's work lost in travel time! Multiply that by the amount of people traveling and the money lost in travel time quickly escalates. A MAF flight takes only 30 minutes from Dili to Suai, saving time and money.

Air transport is becoming the preferred option for time-critical travel, particularly for medical and relief work. MAF is one of few viable and affordable options for air travel in Timor-Leste.

General Charters

MAF have two aircraft available for charter during daylight hours*, Monday through Saturday. Depending on aircraft or pilot availability, our pilots can wait with the plane until you are ready for your return journey**, saving you the cost of a second charter.

* typically from around 6:30am-6:30pm (depending on weather and time of year).
** Does not include overnight stays.

Aerial Surveys

Our aircraft, with its large cabin windows and ability to operate with the rear door open, offer a unique unobstructed perspective over the landscape. This is ideal for photography, video or aerial surveillance. Our high-wing planes offer quick access to remote locations and are able to slow down to 80kts (148km/h), so your scenery won’t whizz by in an instant.

Subsidies

Thanks to generous donors from around the world, we are able to offer subsidised flights to not-for-profit NGOs, churches and community groups. Together we can work towards improving the health and development of the Timorese people. Please contact us to see if you qualify for a subsidy.
