The MAF Timor-Leste programme started in 2007 with only one pilot and his family, who hired a Timorese to help run the fledgling operation. Since then, the team has grown. Currently we are operating with three international staff members, with their families, and four Timorese staff. Over the years we have had seven pilots and their families come and go, and five local staff.

We are all from a wide variety of backgrounds, but come together with common beliefs and a shared goal: to see isolated people changed by the love of Christ by serving together to bring help, hope and healing through aviation.
